Kim’s Haircut and Color

13th February 2015

“Adding a slight blue hue to my hair created such a nice shine indoors and it’s so fun and interesting when I’m stepping out into the sun!”

Kim L.

Dark hair is the most common kind of hair in the world and most of the women have black shaded tresses. But having jet-black hair does not mean you do not have creative options when it comes to color and highlights! It is important to know how to work with such a dark color and how to complement it to your skin tone. Black hair has a lot of red undertones to it so the best thing to do is to stay close to your current and natural hue when adding color or highlights.

A dark black hue with a hint of blue is not only mysterious but very flattering for Kim. With every turn of the head, it catches the light and exposes her bluish hue, making it a great way to show her daring side and turn heads on the street! Soft pale skin with little pink undertones look great in this hue, and hair that is straight in texture and medium to thick in density wear this hairstyle best.

To keep a blue hue bright longer, the best thing to do is to use sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner. Those with a blue/violet base will support your blue with every wash, making it last longer.
